I should really get the Fiat 850 out again but guitars are cheaper than cars. I got the Dean stealth V as a metal guitar, and this cheap Slick melody maker copy is a nice punk rock guitar. Six guitars and a bass now to go with my jam ready outbuilding!

I think you have this a bit wrong. As Oppo’s resident classic FIAT fan, I am here to remind you that FIAT 850s are awesome and you should get it out instead of guitars.

I know you are right :/ ive done all brakes, head gasket, rebuilt alternator and starter, had to put a tranny (fiat steve in Reseda CA) had a slightly rigged weld job for suspension rust out front.. then kids happened. My 850 needs a battery, fuel lines, and tires which rotted out after just sitting. Now lives in garage.(as well as carb work to run right) and would actually not be hard to get on the road to slide that back out at 30mph (all grins). Its a rough driver, but heres a hayday pic sorry I dont know how to take a picture of a picture

Dunno if you saw this old post. No keyboards here, I could borrow my kids turser acoustic, as my Ibanez was burglarized years ago and my poor broken neck Alvarez import has sat abandoned like my FIAT. I love a band room, and I have way more talented or better at practicing friends than me ( playing with them makes me better shakes the cobwebs off quickly ) Had a band a decade ago, and a fun project with neighbors more recently. The owner of the drums is ready to start something again!

I’m all for some iggy  pop, 24/7.....but now that you have a melody maker, you have to learn at least one bad religion song.  It’s in the contract.

When I lived in Athens GA late 80s early 90s I had a real 63 melody maker. Not a collector but a player. That thing was the best. Never should have sold

I’m guessing I’m probably your age...and those guys are probably a few years older than me. But it comes down to playing what you feel. I’m just highlighting their well documented affinity to that guitar.

I’ve got a bunch of guitars...under a dozen if my wife asks....but I don’t have a melody maker.  I’d love one for sure.  Especially with a P90.

Ya really.  Athens has a great scene then, didn’t it.  Lots of great music came out of there at that time.  So progressive.

Oh nice. I wish my drums were analog not digital. But I only have friends who play drums actually so not much practicing overall or use for more expense there. I've been really bad at practicing lately but I'm trying to pick it up again.

Very pretty! They are pretty simple cars to work on...would love to see an 850 on the road on Oppo! :)

Rough drivers are fine as long as they are safe! A little patina hurt never hurt anyone and it’s all about you and enjoying the drive! :)

The drums are not mine but my buddy from old band doesnt really have room in his condo and he shares walls. Hes actually a waaay better guitarist than me but likes to play them. The Sunn PA speakers belong to a friend of a friend who has no need for nor room to store. I might try to buy them as they fit well in my detatched garage
